  • Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the treated area. Your scalp might feel tender or itchy, but it’s important to avoid irritation, which could affect the pigment.

b) Keep it Clean:

  • Day 1: After the procedure, gently clean your scalp with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Use your hands to lightly cleanse, not a washcloth or towel.

c) Avoid Moisture & Sweat:

  • Refrain from sweating for at least the first 48 hours. This means no workouts or activities that could make you sweat excessively.

d) No Shampooing:

  • Do not shampoo your scalp for the first 48 hours to avoid irritation and ensure proper healing of the pigments.produced to the highest standards.

Days 2-7 (Healing Phase)

a) Apply the Healing Ointment:

  • If advised by your technician, apply a thin layer of the healing ointment provided. This helps soothe the skin and supports healing.

b) Clean Your Scalp Gently:

  • Wash your scalp gently using lukewarm water and mild shampoo (free of alcohol or strong chemicals). Avoid scrubbing or using exfoliating products.

c) Avoid Sun Exposure:

  • Direct sunlight can fade the pigment and cause discomfort. Avoid exposing your scalp to the sun during the first week. If you must go out, wear a loose hat.

d) No Shaving or Haircuts:

  • Do not shave the treated area for the first week to allow the skin to fully heal.

Days 7-14 (Continued Healing)

a) Gradual Return to Normal Activities:

  • After the first week, you can resume light exercise, but avoid activities that cause heavy sweating for another 1-2 weeks.

b) Sun Protection:

  • If you need to be outdoors, continue to wear a hat or apply a sunscreen with SPF 30+ (once healing allows) to protect the scalp from UV damage.

c) Continue to Avoid Excessive Moisture:

  • Avoid soaking your head in water for long periods (no swimming, hot tubs, or saunas) until the area is fully healed (usually 2-3 weeks).

Weeks 2-4 (Final Healing Phase)

a) Keep It Moisturized:

  • If needed, continue applying a light moisturizer to the area, keeping the scalp hydrated and aiding the healing process.

b) Shampoo as Usual:

  • By this time, you can resume normal washing of your scalp. Use a gentle shampoo and avoid harsh products that contain sulfates or alcohol.

c) No Scratching or Picking:

  • As your scalp heals, there may be scabs or flakes that naturally form. Do not scratch or pick at these, as it could cause fading or scarring.

Long-Term Aftercare (Ongoing)

a) Protect From the Sun:

  • Continued sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade over time. Always wear sunscreen (SPF 30+ or higher) on your scalp if you’re out in the sun.

b) Regular Touch-Ups:

  • Depending on how well the pigment holds, you may need touch-ups every 1-3 years to maintain the results.

c) Healthy Scalp Maintenance:

  • Keep your scalp healthy by washing regularly with mild products and avoiding harsh chemicals. Healthy skin will help maintain the pigment longer.

Bonus Tips:

  • Sleep Position: In the first few nights after your treatment, try to sleep on your back with your head elevated to avoid direct pressure on the treated area
  • Hydration & Diet: Stay hydrated and eat a nutritious diet to promote the healing process from the inside out.
  • Avoid Alcohol & Smoking (First Week): Alcohol can thin the blood and potentially affect healing. Smoking can impair circulation, which may impact healing too.

By following these aftercare steps, you’ll help ensure the best possible results from your SMP treatment. If you notice any signs of infection, unusual irritation, or other concerns, it’s important to reach out to your technician or a healthcare professional for guidance.

AFTERCARE - BODY SCULPTING

  Wood Therapy Aftercare

Wood therapy involves using wooden tools to massage and contour the body, stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage.

1. Hydration

  • Drink Plenty of Water: Stay hydrated to help your lymphatic system flush out toxins and break down fat cells more effectively. Aim for 2–3 liters of water daily.

2. Lymphatic Drainage

  • Massage Benefits: Consider complementing wood therapy with manual lymphatic drainage to enhance detoxification and reduce swelling.

3. Skin Care

  • Moisturize: Use a gentle, hydrating lotion to soothe the skin, especially if there’s any redness or sensitivity from the wooden tools.
  • Avoid Irritants: Stay away from harsh soaps, exfoliants, or chemicals on treated areas for 24–48 hours.

4. Activity

  • Light Exercise: Gentle movement like walking can further stimulate lymphatic flow and maximize results.

5. Diet

  • Eat Clean: Follow a balanced diet with lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables to support the fat breakdown process. Avoid processed foods, sugar, and alcohol.

Ultrasound Cavitation Aftercare

Ultrasound cavitation uses sound waves to break down fat cells, which are then processed by your lymphatic system.

1. Hydration

  • Essential for Detox: Drinking plenty of water is crucial after ultrasound cavitation. Water helps flush out the liquefied fat cells via urine and lymphatic drainage.

2. Activity

  • Light Exercise: Engage in moderate activity like brisk walking or cycling for at least 30 minutes within 24–48 hours post-treatment. This helps your body metabolize the fat more effectively.

3. Avoid Toxins

  • No Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 48–72 hours, as your liver needs to focus on processing the released fat.
  • Limit Caffeine: Reduce caffeine intake to allow your body to detoxify more effectively.

4. Compression Garments

  • Use as Directed: Wearing a compression garment can help reduce swelling and encourage skin retraction.

5. Follow-Up Treatments

  • Consistency is Key: Ultrasound cavitation often requires multiple sessions for optimal results. Stick to the schedule provided by your practitioner.

Red Light Skin Tightening Aftercare

Red light therapy stimulates collagen production, tightens skin, and reduces wrinkles and sagging.

1. Avoid Excessive Heat

  • No Hot Showers: Avoid hot showers, saunas, or steam rooms for at least 24 hours, as heat can irritate the skin post-treatment.

2. Skin Protection

  • Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) to protect treated areas from UV exposure. Red light therapy can make your skin temporarily more sensitive to sunlight.
  • Gentle Products: Use mild skincare products to avoid irritation. Avoid exfoliants, retinoids, or harsh acids for 2–3 days.

3. Hydration

  • Keep Skin Hydrated: Use a high-quality moisturizer to keep your skin supple and enhance the results of the therapy.

4. Diet

  • Collagen-Rich Foods: Incorporate foods that promote collagen production, such as bone broth, fish, citrus fruits, and leafy greens.

5. Maintenance

  • Regular Sessions: For long-lasting results, red light therapy often requires multiple sessions. Follow the maintenance schedule recommended by your provider.

General Tips for All Three Treatments

1. Avoid Overexertion

  • Allow your body to recover by avoiding strenuous activities for 24–48 hours.

2. Listen to Your Body

  • Mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity is normal, but report any unusual pain or side effects to your provider immediately.

3. Stay Consistent

  • Many non-invasive treatments require a series of sessions and lifestyle adjustments to see the best results.

4. Consult Your Practitioner

  • If you’re combining these treatments, ask your practitioner for a customized aftercare plan that accounts for the overlap in recovery requirements.
